The Christ Gospel Church of Hope Mills was organized in March 1988 as the Word of Truth Evangelistic Center in Raeford, North Carolina. Pastors Ron and Faye Godbolt and their daughters were the organizers of this humble beginning. After serving two years in Raeford the church relocated to 3 other locations before purchasing property at 3533 N. Main Street. Since 1995, the church remains at this location.
The church offers various services to the church’s members, their family and friends, and the surrounding community. We provide food via our food bank to those in need regardless of their affiliation or non-affiliation with the church. We are an active member of the Hope Mills Chamber of Commerce. The church also ministers through Children’s Church, Sunday School, puppet ministries, dance ministry, homework help, world-wide missions, men fellowship, women ministry, prison ministry as well as other ministries that focus the whole man.
It is our goal to be relevant and effective within the community. We are on the WEDO Radio Network every Sunday evening from 5:00-5:30 p.m. and we invite you to join us as we share the word of God.
